ART IMPROVEMENT 2010-2017

Displayed is one piece per month, no distinction by medium. Some works are group efforts, some are WIPs. Blank spaces suggest I didn't do art that month.
I only really have records of what I did from 2014 onwards, so everything before that is a bit of guesswork. Archive your stuff it's fun :)

2010-2012: School introduced me to digital image creation. I remember not liking "drawing" at all through that time. (mostly because I was pretty bad at it I guess?). I was hooked on 3D and vectorgraphics nonetheless.

2013: Drawing grew on me and I began to doodle digitally for fun, still avoided pencils like the plague though.

2014: Started to treat this whole art thing a bit more serious, lost my fear of traditional mediums, and finished a sketchbook for the first time ever.

2015: Feels like I improved a lot. First time I voluntarily did studies and it was fun. :D
Something clicked.

2018
Sooooo, what did I do this year?

I stopped drawing for a while, spent two or three months in a workshop crafting stuff, failed at making a movie, got into makeup, got a degree, continued studying, participated at Schmiede, got interested in 3D again, exhibited a weird art installation and understood that I can be more than just one thing. :)

2016: Huge drop in productivity and a whole bunch of unfinished work. Failing a semester at Uni didn't help either :P Despite that I feel like I managed to improve on a few key areas.

2017: ART DISASTER
Not enough art this year!!! I didn't even have art for every month so I picked my favourite 12.

Not much finished work except for a few still under NDA. I moved to Utrecht for a few months for an internship, personal work is moving into the right direction and it feels good knowing that doing this might be a viable career option, but damn looking back on art this year hurts.
